New York/AP — Michelle Obama wondered where the men were.

At a Manhattan fundraiser for President Barack Obama, the first lady offered a group of female ers a list of her husband’s strengths.

Then at one point during the reception Wednesday at the Pierre hotel, she asked if there were any men in the audience. Her answer came with a smattering of cheers from the few men in the crowd, which also included Caroline Kennedy.

She told them to “stand proud” and delivered a stump speech for the president, calling herself his “biggest fan.” She said women’s issues will affect this year’s election, and that the president s middle-class security for families, good schools and affordable health care for everyone.
